Paris, France (May 17, 2021) – FEPA is delighted to announce the first line-up of keynote speakers for its EU Green Week Partner Event “Towards Zero Pollution: The Importance of the Abrasives Industry in the Greening of the Supply Chain,” which will be held virtually on May 26, 2021, 10:00-11:00 am.

  • Vincent Basuyau, Policy Officer, Energy Intensive Industries and Raw Materials Unit, DG GROW, European Commission
  • Tomas Babicky, European Affairs manager, European Rental Association
  • Xavier Orlhac, Vice-President Europe, Middle-East, Africa, Saint-Gobain Abrasives

The theme for EU Green Week, the biggest high-level policy conference on European environmental policy, taking place virtually on 1-4 June 2021, is “Zero Pollution”.

Achieving sustainability for industry presents several challenges because of the intricacies of the production process, businesses’ immediate imperatives and the supply chain’s competing priorities. The live roundtable will focus on the importance of the abrasive industry in the greening of the industrial supply chain, framed by the industry’s own sustainability program, SEAM helping the abrasives ecosystem in this balancing act of producing responsibly.
